Solving the crisis of Czech dubbing
Battěk, Jan ; SRSTKA, Jiří (advisor) ; JEŽEK, Vlastimil (referee)
Czech dubbing is in crisis. The current situation has been provoked by the Czech Actors' Association's respectable effort to equalize the terms of salaries and raise them following the example of neighbouring Germany. Yet does the quality of dubbing correlate with the size of performers' salaries? Is it possible to unify wages in the private sector? Are dubbing distributors interested in higher quality at higher production costs?

Use of spoken Word in selected czech music Compositions in the second Half of the 20th Century with my own composition Work taken into Account
Chudovský, Daniel ; KURZ, Ivan (advisor) ; RIEDLBAUCH, Václav (referee)
This bachelor's thesis reviews the use of spoken word in the second half of the 20th century in Czech music compositions with a particular focus on the historical context and the composition work of the author. Mainly the needs of an update of the musical thinking and a recontextualisation of the creative process where the spoken word is used, are stressed in the thesis. The basic problematics discussed by the author is the duality of applying both the semantic nature of text sources and different means of desemantisation in music compositions. The core of the paper summarizes and rationalizes the effort of composers to accomplish desemantisation of a text with the aim of the author to find these elements in Czech avantgarde and postmodern music compositions. The core of the thesis simultaniously analyses a composition of the Czech composer Jan Trojan Vašemu futuristickému géniu, which reflects the mentioned tendencies. The author of this thesis supports his findings with his own compositional approach to the matter.
Contemporary Dramaturgy for a Large Repertory Theatre
Nováková, Hana ; SÍLOVÁ, Zuzana (advisor) ; KUDLÁČKOVÁ, Jana (referee)
The thesis describes the repertory staged in the Vinohrady Theatre during the five seasons 2007-2012. It analyzes the quality of the plays chosen and the results of their staging based on the reception from critics and audience as well as the experience of the author. It tries to cover some common tendencies in dramaturgy for a large repertory theatre such as Vinohrady. Then it concentrates on the type of repertory with mainly entertaining purpose throughout the history of this theatre and points out that the highlights of its history were when this type of repertory was merged with a consistently realized vision of an artistically distinctive director. According to the author boulevard theatre tendencies sometimes present in choosing the plays and their cast or in their staging contribute to the problems Vinohrady Theatre has as well as sometimes lacking connection between the director's conception and the needs of the ensemble.
